The bottom (the bridge) portion of the 51st Street and Garnett Road intersection is complete. Now, crews are working on the top portion, which involves paving the intersection and its approaches. The south approach is complete, and the southbound lanes on the north approach have been paved except for a small portion of the southern half of the intersection proper. The northbound lanes remain to be paved from the south side of the intersection proper to the north, including the portion occupied by the detour. Photograph taken December 2, 1989.
