129th East Avenue is nearing completion between I-44 and 11th Street, as the northbound lanes have received the final layer of asphalt and are open to traffic. The southbound lanes, which temporarily are closed, soon will receive the final layer of asphalt, and this will complete the street between I-44 and 21st Street. The southbound lanes still have the temporary striping, which was used for traffic while the northbound lanes were rebuilt. This striping will be covered with the final asphalt overlay. In the distance, work is complete on the section between 11th and 21st streets, as it now is striped and has all four lanes open to traffic. This photograph was taken June 4, 1988.
