Workmen guide a steel girder into place on the new 41st Street bridge over I-44. The bridge work temporarily has closed I-44 in this area, with traffic being detoured around the bridge via the 41st Street access ramps and frontage roads. Today, the girders are being erected over the eastbound lanes, while the remaining girders will be erected over the westbound lanes next week, weather permitting. Photograph taken August18, 1985.
