The approaches are nearing completion on the new 41st Street bridge over I-44. The approaches were rebuilt entirely between the bridge and the access roads, while the portions beyond the frontage roads have been widened to accommodate an additional lane, and a median will be installed near the frontage roads. Two of the four sets of traffic signals have been installed but are out of service. Photograph taken October 12, 1985.
