Josiah Perryman, postmaster given contract for the government star mail route in 1879. The cabin location was just west of South Lewis and a short distance north of south 31st street. The post office department advised him to build a building and move the mail to Tulsa R.R. terminal in 1883. He was also active in schools for American Indian children.
