Home Of Taylor Postoak, circa 1865. A mile south of Hissom Center south of Arkansas River. The first home was built from logs. A stallion named Prince stands in the front yard. Great granddaughters Bessie and Amy Fife are on the front porch with father Soda Fife. When the house burned later, Bessie was placed in the corn crib to protect her as firefighters worked to save the home.
