Portrait of Reverend George Mowbray. He was a Methodist minister from England who settled in Tulsa. His daughter married business owner T.J. Archer. When Archer died in an explosion at his store, Mowbray ran the store for his daughter. Reverend Mowbray was the 3rd Mayor of Tulsa, and was also in the real estate business. He was pastor of the North Methodist Church, which later became the Methodist Episcopal Church.
