Friendship Lodge. Some girls perferred tents, and often the number of visitors made tenting necessary. A poem by a girl who composed it as her part of a program: When I am all in and out and down/ And nothing appears on my face but a frown/ And all my friends I try to dodge/ I need a trip to Friendship Lodge. / Tis there that the swallows are singing all day / And the wild flowers bloom very near/ While across the hills just over the way / Bob-o-Link serenades with his cheer./ I can sit on the porch and gaze out into space / And forget everything but that scene / I seem to drift to a heavenly place / Where everything is bright and green. / The day may have been dreary and hot / But there is a trail at the end / That leads me to Tulsa's pleasantest spot / As I go to the Lodge with a friend.
