Frey Station, Oilton, Oklahoma. According to a 1929 letter sent by Mr. C. Raymond Frey of Baltimore Maryland to the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce, this structure was named after him. Frey was a member of the Masonic Lodge Delta Number 425 of the Scottish Rite in McAlester, Oklahoma. Frey once worked at American National Bank on 3rd & Main in Tulsa. He left Tulsa in 1922. In the group pictured, Frey is the man with his left hand in his pocket. Frey was a retired officer of Union Trust company of Maryland.
Preservation and archiving of this significant Tulsa treasure of photographs and artifacts was made possible through the Tulsa City-County Library and the Tulsa Historical Society, and the generosity of Tulsa World/Lorton Family, Chester Cadieux, the Rotary Club of Tulsa, and many other community-minded corporations, institutions, and individuals.
