Looking southwest from West 11th Street and South Denver Avenue, toward the Safeway store. 11th Street was US Route 66 at the time. Denver Avenue was US Highway 64 and Oklahoma Highway 51. A portion of the house at 1114 South Denver appears behind the Safeway building. There was a small beauty shop in front of the house, fronting Denver Avenue.
