World War I Main Street parade in 1917. This parade was held to honor patriots and encourage young men to enlist in anticipation of the U.S. entering the war in 1918. The picture was taken from the top of the Robinson Hotel. The building under construction is the Commercial Building, which would hold Boswell's Jewelry on the bottom floor. The building on the right is the R.C. Daniel Building, which Mr. Daniel bought at the 1904 World's Fair in New York City, had disassembled and shipped to Tulsa, where it was rebuilt.
