Portrait of W.Tate Brady. Brady was a business owner and major player in the Oklahoma Democratic Party. He built the Brady Hotel in 1905, and later constructed the Robinson Hotel. The Brady Hotel was advertised as being fireproof. However, in 1935 the small annex next door was not, and a fire there spread to the furnishings inside the hotel and burned out the interior of the building. Various signs and artifacts from the Brady Hotel are elsewhere in the collection.
