Picture of The Tulsamerican, the last B-24 to leave the assembly line at the Douglas Bomber Plant during World War II. This aircraft was manned by a 100% Tulsa crew and sank in the Adriatic Sea after being hit by enemy fire. The officers died, but the enlisted men survived. The usual crew of Tulsans had actually been on rest that day, so were not on the plane.
