Tulsa skyline looking northeast in 1927. The tallest building (on the left) in Tulsa was the Exchange Bank Building which was still under construction. The Exchange Bank was later renamed the National Bank of Tulsa. The building still exists today as the 320 South Boston Building. The next largest building, located in the center of the photo is the Philtower Building. The steeple of the Holy Family Church can be seen middle-right. Numerous construction projects took place in downtown Tulsa prior to the Depression. A minimum of four different construction projects can be seen in this photo including the Public Services Building (derrick on the lower-left) under construction at 6th & Main.
