Mrs. Captain, wife of an Osage man amd mother of one son. She lived on a ranch near Skiatook in Osage Nation. She was a well-known personality in the area. After Mr. Captain's death, she married her ranch foreman, Lou Appleby. She was quite wealthy and a shrewd businesswoman. She later lived south of Fourth Street on Detroit. Her daughter married Al Hoots, the owner of Black Gold, and lived at 3rd and Cinncinatti. Her adopted girl married a man named Atchison. This picture was identified by Al Musick, September 1973.
