The Methodist Episcopal Church in Tulsa, Indian Territory was completed on October 1st, 1887. It was dedicated on November 27th, 1887 and was the first Methodist Episcopal church to ever be formally dedicated in the Indian Territory. Tulsa had the honor of being the seat of meeting for the last session of the Indian Mission and the first session of the Indian Mission Conference, Thursday, March 21st, 1889. Bishop J. M. Waldron was in charge.
