'WT TT returned to Tribune Wire Services PRYOR — Gene Leroy Hart is back in a cell on death row at the state penitentiary at McAlester today after being acquitted Friday of three counts of first-degree murder in connection with the 1977 sex slayings of three Girl Scouts. And prosecutors who failed to convince a jury Hart was the man who sneaked into a camp and brutally raped and killed the three say they will not reopen an investigation into the slayings "at this moment." Hart, an elusive jailbreaker with a history of rape and kidnapping, still owes the state 305 years in prison, his attorneys said. Tears streamed down Hart's cheeks and his lips quivered a 'diets were read. /Defense y Garvin Isaacs threw his ai around his client's shoulders for support. Defense attorneys in the 26-day trial produced witn< who indi cated another man—inow in a Kan- 5 prison on a rapce conviction- had been in the area at the time of the killings and was a more likely suspect than Hart. Prosecutor thty are un< tain if the investigation will be reopened. "I don't have anything to justify reopening the investigation at this moment,' said Mayes County District Attorr T. Jack Graves. A state investigator said, "We ji don't have any place else to look.
